People you will meet during your visit

We see patients on Tuesday mornings. Every appointment includes visits with the MS specialist and a child neurologist to monitor disease status and response to treatment. Nurse pediatric MS specialists are available to consult on medications, and other specialists are available as needed.

The patient and family support team includes a family counselor and a child psychiatrist who help patients and families address emotional, social, and family issues associated with MS.

The education team consists of a neuropsychologist and an educational liaison. Between 70-80% of our patients receive neurocognitive assessments. Our education specialists observe children in classrooms and interact with school systems to provide help for children who need additional support.

The rehabilitation team consists of physical, occupational, and speech therapy specialists. In addition, the team facilitates referrals to subspecialty services including urology and neuro-ophthalmology. We have developed close partnerships with clinicians at Mass Eye and Ear and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network to provide advanced subspecialty care for patients who require these services.
